Working with Pan pastels has never been easier.

You bought pans already, or watched on youtube to see what this medium does.  Our workshop is a combination of pans and acrylic.  You go home with this painting that you did yourself.

We do not supply the medium simply because you might own pans already. The level of expertise is medium. Should you not have pan pastels, we will supply you with charcoal and graphite powder to work with 

Studying the facial composition can be daunting at times.  during this workshop we will look at tonal values after we painted the background. 

This subject matter is especially selected to touch on many areas of design and the use of colour.  It is quite an intense workshop and will assist you with studying the abstract portrait in your future projects.

Colour vs monotone is not as different as we think.  It is about tonal values and contrast.  You will not learn HOW to draw a face as such, but focus on shading.  We will do the drawing first and then step by step instructions.  This workshop is for the fine artist that wants to level-up their skills and to really see contour levels emerging into a masterpiece

Does not matter WHAT you paint or draw.  What does matter is technique.  This medium takes you outside your studio if you don't want to carry all your paints and brushes.  Building up colour in layers with the final product in mind.  It does take much longer to do a colour pencil drawing of this standard, but during the workshop you will learn all the tips and tricks you need to pursue this medium.
